I just love this flower so much, yet every time I plant here in Fl. it dies off in the summer. Salvia and sage of any kind are my all time favs. I think I'm a glutton for punishment when it comes to planting flowers not meant for the tropics. Yours are gorgeous! Karrita
I have always admired Russian Sage but have never grown it as I feel it is one flower that needs to be showcased right in order to truly appreciate its beauty and I have just never had the right spot for one. Seeing your pictures makes me want to go out and purchase one right now though! They are lovely.
Karrita~Thanks for stopping by! Apparently Russian Sage grows well in zones 4-9. I don't blame you for taking a chance though~ I tend to do that with the plants I really want as well:).

Linda~ Thank you for your kind comments! From my experience with Russian Sage, you have to wait a little while for it to spring alive so to speak in the spring. It appears as if it has been lost to the elements every year, however I trim it right back and it grows very well.

I had these for awhile and when it died off, I never replaced it. It is going back on my list for next season. Lovely in the sun, isn't it?

It travels in my garden and I leave it wherever it deigns to come up.
Still haven't found out if you can actually use it for cooking like regular sage. You know?
