Bog Rosemary

Bog Rosemary, growing in a heather garden in Annapolis Royal.bog rosemary

Bog rosemary is a heath found in bogs. It's an evergreen with blue tinged foliage and tiny bell shaped pink flowers in the spring. As the name implies "bog" rosemary can tolerate damp conditions.

I love the look of a heather garden, combined with different shades of foliage, and growing alongside soft feathery evergreens. Everyone should have heather in their garden!

The family always enjoys a walk through these gardens. It balances historical and botanical aspects of gardening, and includes themed gardens which represent different periods of history of the area.
