Merigomish Harvest

It will soon be harvest time in the cornfield. It's a golden harvest, and the golden stalks crackle as they sway back and forth in the breezes of the Merigomish Harbor. The ducks and geese are having a hay day with the bountiful harvest of corn. It is such a spiritual place, this rolling cornfield against the ocean.

Your photos are so lovely. Everything is gold and brown, beautiful against the backdrop of water. I especially like the close up of the corn.

Thanks Carol:). The photos don't even come close to the actual beauty of being there.

It really is spiritual - I love these photos. I bet the sound when the breezes come through there are lovely.

Hope you have a wonderful halloween!

Your photos today are beautiful. Those of us who live along the water never seem to get enough of it in our lives. Even thought here on Lake Michigan it is not the ocean, the Great Lakes are rightly called the inland seas. Lots of beauty just looking out the windows. Again, great photos. jack

Thank you Jack! The immensity of the Great Lakes certainly would compare to inland seas. There is nothing so peaceful as being near a large body of water at sunset or sunrise. I never knew what I was missing until I experienced it.
