The Colors Of Fall

This is what we found in our maple today! The colors are changing!! I think that we're in for a brilliant fall palette with the exceptional rains that we've had this summer.

Hi, Chey--Thanks for visiting my blog--and mostly for getting me over to yours. I love them both--your photos are wonderful. I grow daylilies, but know nothing about hybridizing--I look forward to visiting more often. Best, Cosmo

Doesn't it surprise you that we've this much color so soon? I was really caught off guard as we travelled through a secondary "back road" last weekend. You're right - I think the color will be spectacular this year.

Thanks for your visit and nice comment! Your photos are fabulous! It´s almost fall also here in Sweden...the maple is changing ´the colors...it´s windy...and rainy... but the roses are still blooming!

Stunning colours. I have some witchhazel that are just beginning to turn and also a cornus. They go the most amazing red shades, and I love to see them lit up by the sun.

Beautiful colours. The visual feast of autumn makes up for the darkening mornings and evenings.

Chey Thanks for the tease...

The radiant warmth of the orange you captured is a taunting glimpse of what beauty I can expect here in the next month or two.

Regards from the West Coast

Lovely Chey ... what more is there to say! Just arrived at our cottage (2 1/2 hour drive north from home), stunned to see autumn's face after 2 weeks gone! Bittersweet for me but sugar feeds my camera lens ;)

Autumn hasn't got going yet where I live. Some brown and uninteresting leaves are falling as a sort of prelude.

I'm looking forward to it. Not only will the colours (hopefully) be inspiring, I love the smell of it - very energising.
