Tulips

Spring has sprung in Nova Scotia. Tulips and other spring bulbs are starting to bloom. Everywhere you look there are signs of new life...new foliage, new buds, green grass, dandelions, nesting birds, and spring blooms. It's my most favorite season of the year.

Just this morning I was clearing away the brown leaves of the muscari. Our tulips and such are all done. It's wonderful to visit and get to see them all over again.

lovely photos, you must be at least 6 weeks behind us, like some of the others have said, tulips and grape hyacinths are a memory only now. The Iris, Poppy and Roses are in bloom now, and soon...... Day lilies! YAY!

Hey Chey .. it is strange to see such vivid Spring flowers over there (you would think I know it comes later in N.S. being a bluenoser) .. Ontario is remarkably cool yet, for us .. we know that dreaded heat and humidity is coming .. like the boogyman ? haha
Very pretty pictures !

Gorgeous....I brought some bulbs back from England last year and planted then, most glorious plum black color. Never seen a tulip that color.

Hi Chey, your tulips are stunning, the photos are superb. It is so fun to relive spring through your lens. It was 86 degrees today in TN. We will be working outside only early in the morning on most days until fall. Your choice of bulbs shows your artistic side. Thanks for sharing them.

Amy and Laura~~thanks so much! Amy, we must be at about the same stage in our gardening season.

Jane Marie~~Definitely similar tastes:)!

Kitchenretro~~Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for the kind comments! A retro blogger...I love vintage!

Curmudgeon~~Ah yes, we are a little late starting, however the wait is now over.

Karen~~Thanks so much, and thanks for the tag:).

Zoe~~You are so lucky! Probably 6 weeks ahead for sure. We will have our first daylilies in July...although I had my first daylily bloom today on a new arrival:).It was a most pleasant surprise.

Joy~~Thanks so much! Hopefully the heat wave will not be as bad in Ontario this year.

Jenn~~Those dark plum tulips are spectacular! Thanks for stopping by!

Frances~~Thanks so much for your kind comment!I can understand how your gardening time will be limited with those high temperatures. We might get 2 weeks of that kind of weather all summer.
