Daylily: Omelet Ruffles

Eggs anyone? This daylily was hybridized by Reckamp-Klehm 2003. It's a dormant tetraploid.

It's a wonderful daylily with an interesting edge. It has a wonderful pale yellow porcelain bloom, that reminds me of omelets every time I see it. Yummm.

I came across your blog on Blotanical and thought I would stop by and say hello.

Hemerocallis are one of my favourites too, although I dont expect to see any blooms for a couple of months yet. They are all sprouting though, fresh and verdant spikes. The seed you grew is beautiful, have you named it?

Thanks so much for stopping by zoe! We won't get hemerocallis blooms either until the end of June. Sounds like you are further ahead than us though, as many of ours are still not visible (in particular the dormants).

I haven't named my orange seedling yet, although it's garden name last year was "carved" due to the sculpted effect on the petals. Hoping it will survive the winter:).
