It won't be long now before daylily Magnificent Hummingbird will be seen fluttering throughout the garden. It has a beautiful delicate bloom that resembles a bird in flight. It's another of the wonderful blue eyed daylilies hybridized by L Lambertson of Art Gallery Gardens in Florida

Chey - thanks so much for stopping by on my blog the other day and leaving a comment - much appreciated. I love your photographs - particularly the frost ones from a few days ago.
Have a great weekend!
Thanks for the kind comments VP! That frosty morning was very beautiful:).
There are some lovely daylilies and this one is no exception. I'll have to be on the lookout for it.
You have some great photos of daylilies Chey! I can't wait to see them when the pop out this year. :)
Gorgeous! I love daylilies in that color.
Crafty gardener..you may not get this one at the garden centre, but it's fairly easy to find. It's really quite pretty.
Dave..Thanks for stopping by. Ah yes, I can't wait till they pop out as well:).I'll be reading your blog to get lots of photography tips before the new blooms arrive.
Vanillalotus..It's one of my most favorite daylily colors! Cheers!
More beautiful shots of daylilies! You've inspired me to buy more varieties.
Magnificent Hummingbird is so beautiful!
Thanks so much for stopping by on my blog and leaving a comment :)

Thanks !
Joy
Chey, that's such a lovely daylily! Have you had it growing outside? I try to wait on the Florida grown daylilies before trialing them here.
Gardeness, Marie, Georgiagirl.. thanks so much for your kind comments!
Gardenjoy4me..thanks for stopping by! Great to meet another Blue Noser!
Melanie..I brought this daylily inside this year in a pot, but all my daylilies will be planted outside this summer to fend for themselves:).I don't blame you for waiting, as I know that many southern grown daylilies are tender in northern climates. I'll keep you posted on how this one does in my garden. Cheers!
I've been searching out your daylilies. They are all so beautiful, It gets me ready for our season to begin which won't be until June - July. There's nothing else like a daylily to give me the shakes and make my heart race.
Jane Marie..another daylily lover! I totally understand. It's quite an affliction:). Ours don't start until late June, and then bloom right through into September.
Nice color!
I had to look up Pictou county - we toured around Nova Scotia for a few weeks several years ago. Sadly I think we missed your county! Spent too much time in the lower areas of NS I guess. We really LOVED everything there in NS though. It's one of the very few places I'd consider settling, if we ever moved. Of course I'd weigh 3 times as much, from eating all the poutine! :)
Rurality...Thanks for dropping by. Nova Scotia is a wonderful place, especially in the summer time. Not much poutine up our way, so you wouldn't be at risk everywhere:).
Hi Chey - thanks so much for visiting my blog today :)
I've fallen hard for daylilies. They're so beautiful and grow incredibly well in my area. I want more!
Hi Amy...thanks for stopping by! Beware the daylily bug, there's no cure once caught:).
