columbine flowerAfter a cold day in my Nova Scotian garden, I felt the need to post photos of sunkissed columbine flower taken several days ago when it was a little warmer:).I realized just how cool it actually was when my neighbor walked by with her dog wearing her winter coat and mitts!

Some great variety I think columbine is on my "list". Great shots for a warm feeling... but coat and mitts?? I guess that what happens going from warm to cool. Those first spring days felt so warm -- now they would feel cold.

I had never really noticed the curl on the spurs before and that they are punctuated by a little sphere. How enchanting the shapes are.The deep colours too are lovely. What variety are they?
