Weigela

The Weigela is in full bloom, with soft pink blossoms putting on a grand display. This bush is getting larger every year, and shows no signs of stopping. It must be well over 6 ft, and is impinging on some of my daylily seedlings. Never too late for a good trimming:).

Lovely pink trumpets against the silvering wood - the hummingbirds must love them.

Weigela is one of my favorite shrubs, but ours bloom here in March/April. I love the light pink color of yours. At that size, it must be a glorious sight right now.

Such pretty colours though, the soft pink and the varigated green leaf. Looks lovely with roses in a mixed border.

I have 3 of them in my garden - bought at a plant auction. They love being chopped right back.

Thanks for your visit last week - just catching up with everyone - you know how it is post holiday :)
