Rainy Day Barberry And Daylilies

Brer Rabbit's Baby

I really enjoy taking pictures of my blooms after a rain. Everything feels so fresh and clean. The water droplets seem to enhance the colors and add a bit of sparkle.

Very pretty. I have to say the barberry's thorns keep me from growing it. It sure is a nice color though.

...and the next day after rain even more abundant blooms. Barberry is such a wonderful contrasting color landscape jewel.

The way the water gathers at the end of the barberry leaves is great! I learned about those thorns when helping a friend remove some dead landscape...thick leather gloves please. Very pretty though.

Chey, I agree. The droplets of rain add a whole new dimension. Walking through the garden after rain is refreshing. Your photos are lovely.

Connie~ Thanks so much! The rain seems to enhance all the colors of the day.

Aunt Debbi~Beautiful but dangerous:).

Mother Nature~ How true!

Chris~ Oh yes, I've leaned into a few of those thorns as well when dabbing pollen. Thick leather gloves would certainly!
